Amateur Trapshooting Association Announces the 28th Annual National Trapshooting Day
VANDALIA, Ohio – September 2, 2008—The Amateur Trapshooting Association will be working in conjunction with gun clubs throughout the United States and Canada to host National Trapshooting Day. The event is scheduled for the weekend of October 11th and 12th, 2008 (please note: dates may vary at certain locations). A list of gun clubs planning NTD can be found on the ATA web site at www.shootata.com.
National Trapshooting day was created in 1980 to encourage families to participate in the sport of trapshooting. Participants will receive a free attendance pin, and at some venues, be eligible for trophies.
Each gun club will have their own festivities planned. Please contact the individual club for more details regarding NTD.
The Amateur Trapshooting Association serves as the governing body for the sport of American style trapshooting. The ATA's mission is to promote and govern the sport throughout the world. As the faithful protector of trapshooting, the ATA not only governs the sport's rules and regulations, but also seeks ways to enhance the sport and stimulate participation. The ATA has been instrumental in developing programs to increase interest in the sport with its creation of National Trapshooting Day, Satellite Grand Americans, Achievement Recognition and other valuable programs.
