Deer Nation Gets Geared Up

Across the country, deer farming organizations are gearing up this summer for their annual conferences, picnics, auctions, regional events and informative expositions. Mark your calendars and attend as many of these events as you can.

Safe Capture/Deer Farming Seminar by the Cervid Livestock Foundation will be July 13– July 17, 2009 at Apple Creek Whitetails; Gillett, Wis.

Minnesota Deer Breeders Association's Summer Picnic will be on July 25, 2009 in West Albany, Minn.

The 2009 Cervid Congress will be July 31–August 1, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Okla. This will be held at the Renaissance Oklahoma Convention Center and it will be in conjunction with the Whitetails of Oklahoma Premier Deer Auction. Click here for more info.

Indiana Deer & Elk Farmers Association's Annual Picnic & Fundraiser will be held on Aug 01, 2009 in Harlan, Ind.

Iowa Whitetail Deer Association Annual Summer Picnic will be on August 08, 2009 in Central City, Iowa.

United Deer Farmers of Michigan 1st Annual Fundraiser Auction & Benefit will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., on August 15, 2009.

11th Annual TDA Convention & Fundraiser will be August 20-23, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas. The largest state deer association convention in the country, the TDA event will be held at the Westin La Cantera Resort. The highlight of the event will be the Superior Genetics Deer Auctions, which is well known for showcasing the best deer genetics and the best breeders in Texas.

The USAHA Convention will be October 7-14, 2009 in San Diego, Calif.

The 2010 NADeFA Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held March 18-20, 2010 in Toledo, Ohio.
