Georgia Revises Landowner Conservation Incentives
FORSYTH, Ga.- The recently updated Landowner’s Guide to Conservation Incentives summarizes financial incentives, technical
help and conservation options available to landowners across Georgia.
The guide navigates nearly 20 federal and state programs, offering concise descriptions and comparisons. Available free from the Georgia
Wildlife Resources Division, the handbook also includes a directory of conservation-related offices in the state.
Although targeted primarily at forest and agricultural landowners, the information can help familiarize conservation officials with available
programs. The guide was updated this year through a grant from The Environmental Resources Network, or TERN, a nonprofit advocacy group supporting the Wildlife Resources’ Nongame Conservation Section.
Copies are available at Wildlife Resources offices in Social Circle (770-918-6411) and Forsyth (478-994-1438), or online at www.georgiawildlife.com (click “Conservation” and “Landowner programs”).
