Lyons Falls Business Receives Silver Award from Government

LYONS FALLS, N.Y. - Otis Technology is honored by DSCC, for quality performance as a government contractor.

Otis Technology is honored to have been recognized by the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) for their outstanding performance as one of the best product suppliers. Recognition for the Excellence Award is DSCC’s way of congratulating contractors who maintain high performance standards and supplying a product that the Government can rely on. 

The Award Ceremony was held during the 2008 Land & Supply Chains Business Conference and Exhibition, August 26th in Columbus, Ohio.
Doreen Garrett, President of Otis Technology accepted the award along with Nicholas Williams, Senior Design Engineer, Nancy Szewczyk-Davoy, Contract Specialist and Georgianna Feller, Accounting Manager. Presenting the Award was Army Brig. Gen. Patricia E. McQuistion, DSCC’s Commander.

Award winners are businesses that have met stringent quality and delivery requirements which are established by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Automated Best Value System (ABVS) collectively reports on vendors past performances and delivery, translating the information into a numerical score ranging from 0-100.
In order to be eligibility for an award, all vendors must have shipped 50 or more contract line items or products for DSCC during a 12-month period.  To qualify for a Gold Award, a contractor must have a perfect score of 100.  A score of 99.0 to 99.9 earns a Silver Award, and 98.0 – 98.9 will earn a Bronze Award.  Otis Technology earned a Bronze Award in 2006, Silver Award in 2007 and are proud of their recognition as a Silver Award winner again in 2008.
Otis Technology supplies gun care cleaning systems to the Department of Defense (DOD) and other agencies.
