Hub Traylor from Roswell Livestock and Farm Supply says, “With the state’s mule deer population on the decline and the quality of deer available for harvest at an all-time low, land owners and managers are seeking information on how to improve their habitat and increase the quality of their mule deer”. Stephen Swift, seminar organizer, indicates that this is only the second seminar of this type in the Southwest during the last 10 or 15 years. The first seminar in 2007 was considered to be a huge success with almost 200 land owners and managers attending. Swift states, “The presenters on the program are well recognized in the industry as the leading experts in their field. We hope that land owners and managers will take advantage of this opportunity. This is also a great opportunity for mule deer enthusiasts to get together and share information”.
