Otis Technology is Named Economic Champion for Central New York

LYONS FALLS, N.Y. - The Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center at the Oncenter was full of successful businesses on October 16th, as Economic Champions of Central New York were honored; among them OTIS Technology, Inc. of Lyons Falls, NY.

The Syracuse Chamber celebrated each business, and their contribution to Central New York at a luncheon for all Economic Champion honorees, with Doug Logan of Time Warner Sports as Master of Ceremonies and Congressman James Walsh also being honored.

To be chosen by the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce as an Economic Champion, each Company had demonstrated at least one of the following accomplishments within the past year; Adding one or more additional employee, expanded operations at your present location or relocating, had capital expenditures because of growth, or received a special award.  Nominations were made by someone in each company, or by someone in another company, or because of a news paper article.

OTIS Technology, Inc. is proud to have been recognized for their contribution to the economic development of the Central New York region and is pleased to have met all of the Economic Champion standards above. Within the past year, the number of employees at OTIS Technology has gone from 80 to 150. Currently, construction is underway for a 23,000 square foot warehouse expansion project.  This past August, OTIS was presented with a Silver Award from the Government acknowledging their excellence in product quality as well as prompt delivery. OTIS is the premier supplier of Gun Care Cleaning Systems used by the Department of Defense and several other Government agencies. 

OTIS Technology, Inc. started 20 years ago as a small, family-owned, home-based business. OTIS has shown extreme growth over the past few years, and has great appreciation for being recognized as an Economic Champion.  The Chambers’ recognition is a representation of the hard work and team effort which characterizes the culture of OITS Technology, Inc.
