Washington Press Conference on Climate Change and Hunting and Fishing
Tuesday Press Conference:
New Report Offers Recommendations on Managing
Climate Change and Hunting and Fishing
Tuesday, April 20 @ 1 p.m.
Longworth House Office Building, Rm. 1334
Evidence shows that climate change is real and has become the single-greatest threat to fish and wildlife and sporting opportunities. The future of our nation's outdoor heritage depends on the ability of fish and wildlife populations to adapt to these changes.
Legislation being introduced this week by Sens. Kerry, Graham and Lieberman could hold the key to funding adaptive management approaches that would help fish and wildlife to better withstand the effects of a changing and more variable climate.
Please join members of Congress, labor leaders and American sportsmen for a briefing on "Beyond Seasons' End," a compelling new report about fish and wildlife adaptation to climate change - and climate change's effects on hunting and fishing.
