QDMA Convention Hosts White-Tail Enthusiasts
Louisville, Ky. - Quality Deer Management Association's ninth Annual National Convention began yesterday at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. Outdoorsmen and women interested in habitat, deer biology, and wildlife management attended the Think Tank Natural Habitat Workshop and acquired the latest facts and instruction from leaders in the industry.
Today's Research Sessions run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will hear from the nation's top whitetail experts on a wide range of topics, including "Maximizing Hunting Opportunity," and "Fine Tuning a Deer Management Program." Grant Woods, Mickey Hellickson, and Brian Murphy, QDMA's CEO, are among the first-rate speakers who will share the latest trends in deer management with attendees. A Hunt Auction Luncheon offering numerous world-class hunts and products will occur between the morning and afternoon Research Sessions.
To wrap-up the day, the REACH Banquet is a chance to celebrate the accomplishments of QDMA's REACH Program (Research, Education, Advocacy, Certification, and Hunting), which embodies QDMA's mission. Gina West and Paul Bogart will provide great country sounds while attendees kick-off the fundraising for the upcoming year with raffles and games.
On Saturday and Sunday the Convention Center will be home to thousands of outdoorsmen and women perusing hunting and management products from the nation's foremost vendors, some of which are debuting brand new merchandise. Throughout the weekend, an outstanding lineup of celebrity guests, including Lee and Tiffany Lakosky of The Crush, Eddie Salter and Alex Rutledge from Hunter's Specialties Pro Staff, Rodney Dyer, also of Hunter's Specialties, and Dan Perez of Whitetail Properties' Dreams to Reality, will entertain and educate the audience during celebrity seminars. Additionally, other well-known celebrities will be present in the Expo Hall and available for autographs.
The Expo offers something for the whole family, including a fun-filled Kids' Zone with presentations by stunt archer, Randy Oitker, Bass Pro Shop's Next Generation Kelsey Konrade, Zac Cooper of Outdoor Allstars, and QDMA's Mark Thomas. Following the Expo is the Grand Banquet, one of several chances for Convention attendees to take part in auctions, raffles, and games with top-of-the line products and remarkable hunts.
Registration begins today at 7:30 a.m. at the Convention Center. Visit www.QDMA.com for event schedules and additional information.
