The Tree Stand Safety Belt – The Missing Link In Tree Stand Safety!

» View Member Page  |  10-02-08

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Tree Stand Safety Belt is made to keep you safely in your stand!  It is the "Missing Link In Tree Stand Safety".  Up until now hunters have had to depend strictly on a full body harness to keep from hitting the ground after an unexpected fall from a tree stand.  Now with proper use, the Tree Stand Safety Belt   is available to increase tree stand safety even more by eliminating the fall.  This easy to use product is an integrated two belt system that is used in conjunction with the full body harness.  One section firmly attaches around the tree and the other supports the user so a loss of balance and possible fall does not occur.  The Tree Stand Safety Belt retains the hunter on the tree stand avoiding a fall that would bring the full body harness into play in the first place.

While hunter safety is its main design function, the Tree Stand Safety Belt also allows the user the quiet freedom of movement necessary. When seated, one simply cannot fall out of the stand, period.  When standing the Tree Stand Safety Belt allows for a complete range of motion while providing solid support and stabilization that allows the user to feel more secure and every shot more steady.  During windy conditions the Tree Stand Safety Belt pulls the user back against the tree for assured stability and security.
Dr. Norman Wood of Mountaineer Sports LLC, inventor of the Tree Stand Safety Belt, came up with the unique design after suffering a fall of 20 feet, breaking his pelvis and left arm.  As Dr. Wood says "After my fall I decided the macho way of not wearing anything was pretty stupid.  And the fact is that even while wearing a full body harness you can still die in 15 to 30 minutes if you are unable to recover from a fall.  Wearing the old fashioned waist belt is not even an option. So I came to the conclusion that something was seriously missing in tree stand safety.  We needed a way to prevent the fall from happening in the first place.  The Tree Stand Safety Belt does just that.  It is very simple to use, effective product that provides the security and stability needed, but also the freedom of movement necessary."
