Trapshooters Target American Deer & Wildlife Alliance Benefits

07-14-08

AUSTIN, Texas — The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance (ADWA) is extending its reach to the shooting sports industry, and is tremendously proud to announce the addition of the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) to its group of Allies. The ATA’s commitment to the sport of trapshooting is a goal ADWA is dedicated to supporting.

“ADWA exists to promote members and grow the industry as a whole, and that includes trapshooting as well as all shooting sports,” says Annie Jones, director of operations for ADWA. “ATA is the largest clay target shooting organization in the world, and we are proud to be affiliated with a group that’s so passionate about their sport. The ATA has been instrumental in developing several key programs designed to increase participation in the sport, especially with youth events with give kids a sense of teamwork, competition and confidence.”

The Amateur Trapshooting Association is home to the famous Grand American World Trapshooting Championships each August, an annual event that draws nearly 6,000 competitors and showcases the best shooting talent in the world. Last year 54,208 members participated in some 6,275 registered tournaments throughout the United States. To learn more about the Amateur Trapshooting Association, please visit www.shootATA.com.
