Kids 'Survive' ADWA Safari Camp
Surviving in the wild was the focus of the all-new ADWA Youth Safari Camp, which welcomed young sportsmen (ages 8 to 15) to its first in a series of hands-on youth events for a memorable and educational outdoor experience.
The half-day event was held recently at the Texas Hidden Springs Ranch in Seguin, Texas, and provided a fun, hands-on outdoor education, including wilderness survival skills such as shelter-building, fire-starting, setting snares and shooting.
True to the event's survival lessons, some attendees caught their prey, built their own fire, cooked and ate what they caught ...and survived!
Special thanks to the Seguin Outdoor Learning Center, Texas Hidden Springs Ranch, Montana Canvas, GameGuard Camo and McCoy's Building Supply for their donations and support.

Supreme Court Rules for Gun Rights
The American Deer & Wildlife Alliance praises the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in a historic Second Amendment case. In its second major ruling on gun rights in three years, the Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that the Second Amendment protects the rights of all Americans. The decision is a victory for all American citizens who believe the Second Amendment is an individual right and a freedom worth defending.
Part of the five-justice majority, Justice Samuel Alito wrote: “The right to keep and bear arms must be regarded as a substantive guarantee, not a prohibition that could be ignored so long as the States legislated in an evenhanded manner.”
